We have all been through a tough time. Many of you immediately thought of something when you read that last sentence. I have a few things that come to mind, myself. Sometimes, though, we need to stop thinking about the tough times.
The Israelites wondered in the wilderness for 40 years. When Moses was speaking to the Israelites in Deuteronomy 7, he began to talk to the Israelites about Who God is, and what God was about to do for the Israelites. The Israelites, however, were having a hard time of their own--they had just spent 40 years wondering in a desert! Many had rebelled against God because they did not understand who He is.
Sometimes, we have a tendency to do the same. We tend to focus on the problem that we are going through. Instead, we should be focusing on God. Instead of focusing on what may be causing us an issue right now, we should focus on God. Sometimes we just need to know that God is God.
This is one of the most important things that we can do when we are going through a hard time. Remember what God has done in the past. Remember what promises God has made, and that He keeps His promises. Above all, remember that God is God, and He knows what He is doing. He delivered the Israelites, and He is able to deliver us from our difficulties!
