Everyone remembers Noah and how he was spared from the effects of the flood because of his righteousness. However, Scripture makes it clear that this was not the only thing that made Noah unique among his neighbors.
In addition to living a righteous life, we are told that Noah was blameless. None of his neighbors could find fault in him. How many of us can say that today? I would venture to guess that not many of us could, including myself. I am sure that if someone looked at my life they would find faults. In fact, I am positive. What was Noah's secret?
The next part of this verse tells us Noah's secret to living a blameless and righteous life: "Noah walked with God." People acted corruptly during Noah's time. People act corruptly today. How many of us walk with God to the point that none of our neighbors can find fault with us? If Noah did, why can't we try to walk closer to God? In doing so, we set the example, and may well lead others to the cross of Christ.
