Why do you think that Jesus spoke in parables? Do you think that it was because He wanted to make things difficult for His audience to understand? Was it because they were easier for His audience to understand? What was the reason?
I believe that Jesus spoke in parables to the audience because only those who really wanted to understand the parable and who sought the meaning of the parable would understand it. Jesus presented the truth to everyone, but let each person decide whether or not he or she would pursue it and live accordingly.
This is keeping with the nature of God. God does not force us to believe in Him. Rather, we can look at nature and understand that He exists (Romans 1:20). Furthermore, those who seek Him will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). He has revealed Himself in nature, in the Scriptures (The Bible), and in the person of Jesus Christ. He is there with open arms, but it is up to us to choose whether or not to embrace Him. If you have not embraced Him yet, please do so today. It will be the best decision you will ever make.
